The Dark Latex Cub is a cute little dark-latex cub that strayed away from its kind to follow after Colin, through the gas-flooded areas in the Vents.

Behavior

Since they're still young and small, cubs are incapable of transfurring the human. However, touching one will cause it to melt down, slowing the prey down and making them unable to sprint. This makes the human less capable of escaping transfurmation by either other creatures or the gas.

As soon as the Human enters the Offices he can spot the little critter running in and out of the vents singing happily.

All the little one wants is affection, and doesn't really mind whether the Human gives it attention as a human, or as a newly 'transfurred' latex beast. It's playful and doesn't seem to mind it's light latex counterparts. This little cub doesn't try to absorb you, and proves to be an obstruction at worst (because the gas will 'transfur' you if you idle), and a playful critter at best if you know how to navigate the area safely.

Whereas the light-latex cubs are dangerous to touch, the dark wolf cubs are safe to handle without risk of 'transfurmation'. They were such playful critters that several scientists were known to have kept them as pets, before reaching maturity. An overprotective Puro panics when he sees the cub following the Human, and shoos it away back home.

Special Edition

In a room in the office area, a pack of Dark Latex creatures (both cubs and adults) can be found sleeping on pillows. A single cub can be interacted with in a sort of minigame, allowing the human to pet the cub without repercussions.

In the adjacent room, another cub can be seen on top of a tube. If it sees the protagonist, it won't do anything but change sprites. However, if there is an adult latex in the room, the cub can give away the human's location.

A dark latex wolf cub follows the Human to the Gas Vents later on in the game.

Trivia

• The Cub is the only enemy in the game that can't transfur the Human.
• In the Special Edition, the protagonist can become a cub after touching a "crystal pillar mine" in either of the Dark Latex territory bathrooms.
