In Changed

Inaccessible Text/Dialogue

Right at the very start of the game, there is a room with a few inaccessible interactable objects. These objects include some boxes that will give the player a similar but different text as the other boxes that are accessible, the closed pod which will inform the player that the pod is empty, the sides of the pod which will tell the player that the pod is made out of alloy, and also the grate on the floor, which will simply say its a "Sewer Drain."

Interestingly enough, the button next to the pod acts like a light switch when interacted with, however the function is broken due to an programming oversight and instead the button will simply appear to do nothing whatsoever. Fortunately, the functionality can be restored by editing the game files and correcting the oversight.

The standard edition of Changed contains an inaccessible note during the dark maintenance shaft. Although technically it is used, it is never able to be read by the player as it is impossible to reach it under normal circumstances.

Right after the player has escaped the Snow Leopard chase, there are 2 inaccessible dialogue boxes for a white latex blob on the wall. The player cannot normally reach the event that displays these text boxes, and even if they do, there is a programming oversight which causes the text to never display regardless.

In the very next room where Puro talks to the player through a vent, there is an inaccessible newspaper on the corner of the desk. Interacting with this will bring up a total of 4 normally inaccessible dialogue boxes:

Unused Graphics

As for unused graphics, there is an unused frame in the spritesheet for Shizi. There is also a blank polaroid sprite, which was likely used as a template for creating the graphics for the many photosets that can found scattered throughout Changed. This is further supported by it being located in the same location as the rest of the aforementioned photo sprites.

In Changed: Special Edition

In the Steam demo of Changed special, there are many unused assets, including levels, graphics and audio. This is because the demo is basically just a modifed version of the original game, and therefore these assets are simply leftovers from Changed's standard edition. Although the vent at the end of the demo informs the player that they have reached the end, the vent does still have the same function as it does in Changed. However, this functionality is disabled and instead uses a different function, which is why the player cannot continue. Fortunately, with the power of map editing, the original functionality can be restored! Unfortunately, there is nothing new to see beyond the intended end of the demo. If the player proceeds to continue past this point, they will find that all the levels are the exact same as they are in the original, with the sole difference being that they are not translated. Surprisingly, the game appears to be fully intact and even beatable.

Also to be found are these 3 unused graphics, which are never used anywhere in the Special Edition. They are not present at all in the standard edition.

Due to the size of the space inside of these grid graphics, and the fact that they are stored in the same place as the spritesheets of all the characters and enemies, it is speculated that these grids where used during development as a guideline for creating the spritesheets of characters.

An unused image of a blank polaroid graphic. Likely used as a template. Almost identical to the also unused blank polaroid in the standard version.

Additionally, just like the also-unused graphic that can be found in the original Changed's game data, a blank Polaroid can be found unused amongst the Character graphics. It is identical to the one in the standard version of the game, except that here the polaroid has a white background instead of a transparent one.
