Snow Leopards

The Snow Leopards are a sibling pair of humanoid variegated-latex felid-like beasts that appear in the game. While they don't appear simultaneously often, they will show up in four different areas as they track and hunt the Human.

Appearance

Both of them have almost the same appearance; grey fur with black spots all over, white underbellies and a white snout, green eyes, and a long tail. Obvious differences are the gender and the fact that only female seems to have white hair on her heads and slightly smaller eyes.

The male's facial patterns also appear as two long stripes and two dots, symmetrical to each other, whereas the female appears to have three lines, the middle one reaching down to the top of the snout, on her forehead, meeting at the top. Both have a black line running from the eyes to the corners of the mouth. The male's ears are tipped with black as well, unlike the female.

Behaviors and Abilities

The female Snow Leopard will absorb the human as if they themselves were a suit while the male Snow Leopard will instead traditionally spread goo on the human, or instead do a transfurring kiss.

They lack any mimic-type abilities, but make up for this in cunning, as they hide and lie in wait amongst the various boxes and crates littered across the complex. While not as fast as Yuin, the group are determined to catch the Human, especially the female, who give chase when the male's box traps fail.

Puro describes his neighbours (the snow leopards) as a mischievous lot, who are always moving boxes and crates around to block pathways. Turns out there's a pragmatic reason for this, as it obstructs their fleeing prey when they give chase.

The snow leopards appear to be somewhat sympathetic though. Despite seemingly having no connection to Puro and antagonising his human friend, they're shown crying when Puro announces he's leaving his den for good and will never return, but letting the two siblings stay in his former home.

Trivia

  • Judging from appearance, Colin appears to become a female snow leopard regardless of the transfur. This, however, may just be his hair changing color.
  • Snow leopards are one of the most well-known transfurs in Changed.
  • The male snow leopard appears in Changed: Special Edition in the aquarium, in a box being lowered into the water.
  • It is revealed that in DragonSnow's 2023 QnA, one or both of them were once human, at timestamp 2:17:30. (The use of the word "Leopard" is not plural, but could be caused by the human translator.)
